BYU VOCAL POINT MOVES TO TOP SIX OF NBC’S THE SING OFF
WATCH PARTY NEXT MONDAY - Nov. 7.
Los Angeles (October 31, 2011) – After unexpectedly finding itself in the bottom two after last
week’s episode of The Sing Off (NBC, ch. 5), Vocal Point stormed back with a musically
superior medley of hits from the King of Rock-n-Roll himself, Elvis Presley.
Sing Off judge Ben Folds followed the seamless blend of Don’t Be Cruel, Can’t Help Falling In
Love, and Jailhouse Rock, by simply stating, “You’re back. That’s good.”
“I laughed, I cried, I was forever changed after this performance,” kidded Judge Shawn
Stockman, a former member of multi-platinum R&B group Boyz II Men. Judge Sarah Bareilles
added praise of Vocal Point’s musicality, extolling the group’s vocal modulations and rhythmic
transitions. “Just entertaining,” concluded Stockman.
Vocal Point now moves on to the final weeks of competition as one of The Sing Off’s top six
groups. In celebration, the Vocal Point Alumni Association invites all fans and friends out to a
